Staff at Lloyds Banking Group in Wales and the Borders held a EURO 2016 sweepstake-style fundraiser which raised almost £1,500 for R.A.B.I.
Pictured above are Gwilym Francis, Lloyds Bank Area Director, Agriculture (Wales & Borders – South), Andrew Naylor, Lloyds Bank’s UK Head of Agriculture, and Stephen Noble, Head of Fundraising at R.A.B.I.
Gwilym explained: “The idea was for the Wales and Borders Agricultural teams to join together to raise funds for R.A.B.I by organising a sweepstake-style fundraiser themed around the EURO 2016 Championships.
“Agricultural Relationship Directors and Managers across the region invited their professional contacts in allied industries to take part and we received a fantastic response – enabling us to hold several draws, so that all who donated were allocated a team and of course give something back through R.A.B.I to the communities we serve.
“The South East Wales and Borders teams were drawn by Adam Henson when he visited us just before the start of the tournament. Prizes included of wine, chocolates and some Euro 2016 footballs so that we didn’t need to use any of the sweepstake funds.”
Many thanks to everyone who took part to raise funds for farmers in need.
