Sixty guests tucked in to a delicious beef supper in support of Great British Beef Week. The fundraiser was held at the Lygon Arms in Chipping Campden.
The beef was produced by the Lygon Arms’ own farm, on which they raise sheep and cattle. Other local producers contributed to the meal, with vegetables from the Vale of Evesham and the Cotswold Hills.
Tanya Robbins, Gloucestershire committee member, said: “It went ever so well. The food was brilliant and everyone loved it.”
An estimated £650 was raised via an auction hosted by Alistair Albutt, MD of agricultural manufacturing company Albutt. The lots included beef donated by Silver Swan Beef and membership of a farm assurance scheme.
Guest speaker Charlotte Johnson, scheme member manager for Red Tractor, spoke about the importance of animal welfare and food safety.
