Last month, almost 300 guests attended the first R.A.B.I Magic of Farming Ball, held in the beautiful Garden Rooms at Tennants, Leyburn, which raised an amazing £6,300 for farmers in need.
As well as a four-course dinner, there was a raffle, auction and entertainment from a live band and magicians. The auction alone raised more than £2,400 with Rodney Tennant serving as auctioneer.
The dinner was kindly sponsored by McClarrons and MD Sean McClarron commented: “We have been working with rural clients for over 25 years and are very aware of the adversity that the agricultural sector can often be faced with. R.A.B.I is a charity very close to our hearts and we are very proud to have been able to support the event.”
Sally Conner, North East Regional Manager for R.A.B.I, said of the event: “It is really appreciated when local businesses and local people all get together to have an evening of wonderful food, at a fantastic venue and with great company to support R.A.B.I.
“The Magic of Farming Ball was a huge success and I would like to acknowledge all the hard work from our dedicated committee and the financial backing we have had from so many organisations.”
