Matt Baker, host of The One Show and Countryfile, will be hosting the Ceva Animal Welfare Awards for the second consecutive year.
The awards aim to showcase the achievements of people from the farming, veterinary, charity and education sectors.
R.A.B.I is the charity supporter of the Farmer of the Year Award – a new category for 2019. The award recognises the achievements of farmers who strive to provide and encourage a high standard of animal welfare on their farm.
The winners and runners up will be honoured at a glittering ceremony taking place on 3rd April 2019. Matt Baker will be hosting alongside esteemed head judge, the retired veterinary surgeon Chris Laurence MBE FRCVS, who puts his name to the Vet of the Year Award.
If you know of a farmer, vet, vet nurse, animal welfare professional or animal welfare team that you feel deserves to be recognised for their ongoing commitment to animal welfare, visit www.cevawelfareawards.com to nominate. They can come from all walks of life and will be assessed on the evidence provided in the original nomination. Entries must be in by Friday 25 January 2019.
