Max Jeffery, JCB director for global learning and development, spoke at R.A.B.I’s recent AGM about the importance of encouraging young people into the farming industry.
He noted the importance of combining the experiences of the current generation with the ideas of the next generation. He advised organisations “to take the very best of the past and bring through the very best of the future as well.”
Max also spoke about JCB’s commitment to encourage young people to progress through the company, providing them with skills for their futures. Last year, 68 JCB apprentices worked together to build a unique loadall from scratch, which raised £74,000 for R.A.B.I and The Louise Hartley Memorial Fund at auction.
