R.A.B.I’s newly-formed Monmouthshire committee is holding its fourth fundraising event of this year – a beetle drive – at St Arvans Hall, Chepstow on Thursday 24 November.
Families are welcome at the beetle drive and tickets cost £10 per person with fish and chips included in the ticket price. A beetle drive is an old favourite – a simple game requiring only paper, pencils and dice. The aim of the game is to be the first player to draw a complete beetle with the body parts drawn determined by the throw of a dice.
R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones, said: “R.A.B.I exists to help farming families in financial hardship. Many farming families are in financial difficulty through no fault of their own and illness and injuries continue to add to our significant casework.”
Gwilym Richards, Monmouthshire R.A.B.I county committee chairman said: “We are extremely grateful to the generous people of Monmouthshire for supporting us in our first year of activity. I hope that our last event of this year will be as rewarding as the others.”
Kate Beavan, Monmouthshire R.A.B.I county committee secretary added: “This promises to be a fun night for all ages. Tickets have been selling well, so we are hoping for a full house at St Arvans Hall.”
Tickets can be purchased from Gwilym Richards 01600 860 300, Kate Beavan 01873 821 585 or Neil Smith 07885 257 788.
