Twitter was taken by storm when, after the huge success of our #wellyweek2014 campaign in November, R.A.B.I. supporters prolonged the muddy-fun by coming up with the fantastic idea of #muddywellychallenge.
Organised by supporter, Darren Wilson, and in conjunction with Mole Valley, the aim of #muddywellychallenge was to get your wellies or boots as muddy as possible, take a picture, post it to Twitter and donate by text to the charity.
Clothing and footwear company, Country House Outdoor also got in on the action and while Twitter feeds were filling with pictures of muddy wellies the Cumbria-based company kindly donated two pairs of Hunter wellies in a bid to find the ‘muddiest’ picture.
Darren said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the challenge and donated to R.A.B.I.. When I came up with the idea a few months ago I had no idea how popular it would be – and to include a competition to win the wellies was awesome! I have really enjoyed organising the #muddywellychallenge and hope the fundraising has helped farming families. Thank you Country House Outdoor and Mole Valley!”
