You can call us in complete confidence on our Freephone Helpline – 0808 281 9490 – which is staffed during office hours. Out of office hours, calls will be taken by the Farming Community Network who will contact us on your behalf the next working day.
We are here to help, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
It's likely that we'll arrange for one of our regional welfare officers to visit you. They understand farming, its complexities and its challenges.
Generally, those we support must have limited savings and be on a low income, but rather than worry about the criteria, we ask people to make that important first call, because we may still be able to help, even if we can’t give a grant.
The application process is relatively straightforward. Confidentiality and trust is very important to us and we never disclose information to anyone else without permission.
Our grants committee meets every 6 - 8 weeks to determine applications for help, but in emergencies the process is fast-tracked and payments can be made very quickly. Welfare officers stay in touch with the people assist and the office team is just a phone call away if further support is needed. You can call us at any time.
