Despite bad weather, the New Forest Show proved to be a fun event for R.A.B.I’s Hampshire committee.
The three day show was held on the 30-acre showground in Brockenhurst. Sally Field, regional manager for the South East, said: “We met and spoke to many farming folk both young and old, as well as people from allied support networks within the county.”
The Hampshire committee set up a range of games and activities to entertain the crowds. Children had a chance to test their steady hands on a ‘tractor buzz’ game and could also decorate their own R.A.B.I bags using stencils and bright pens.
Another attraction was a flock of colourful model sheep, decorated by children from Bentworth School, near Alton.
“Special thanks to all the committee members who came along over the three days to man the R.A.B.I stand,” added Sally.
“This year’s tricky weather conditions didn’t deter anyone’s enthusiasm and support. We always have such a great atmosphere on the stand with much chatter and laughter!”
