Staff and members of NFU Cymru completed the mammoth challenge of hiking and biking across Wales. They have raised more than £6,800 so far.
The challenge comprised five stages. Day one started with a hike up Snowdon, followed by a 43 mile cycle to Dolgellau where they started their climb of Cadair Idris. Day two began with an 87 mile ride to Brecon Beacons where the challenge ended with a hike up Pen-Y-Fan.
A core team of 29 completed the full challenge, while other supporters joined for individual hikes or rides where they were able.
John Mercer, director of NFU Cymru, said: “What a brilliant few days it’s been on the Hike and Bike Challenge. It was superb effort by everyone who took part walking, hiking or both and of course it was only possible with the help of all the support crew who gave up their time.”
Linda Jones, regional manager for Wales, said: “We would like to thank NFU Cymru for really pulling out all the stops for this hugely challenging weekend. We greatly appreciate the enthusiasm and dedication shown by staff, members, and representatives from farming related industries, to help others less fortunate than themselves. This is team work at its best!”
