Led by Claire Greener and Patrick Wrixon, Herefordshire NFU organised their inaugural charity clay shoot event at New House Farm Barn in Gratfon, Hereford, in July.
Competitors took part in a 50 bird clay shoot and afterwards enjoyed a hog roast lunch which raised £400 for R.A.B.I.
Brothers Charles and Jack Lilwall achieved the highest individual score on the day and ended up in a shoot off with the best of five declared the winner. In the end Charles won and was presented with the Herefordshire NFU Perpetual Cup by NFU Herefordshire chairman Patrick Wrixon.
Many thanks to Dave Powell of Nissan dealership Newtown Motors, Hereford, who sponsored the new Perpetual Cup which will enable the NFU to hold a charity event each year. Solicitors Lanyon Bowdler also generously provided sponsorship towards the cost of the hog roast. Thanks also to R.A.B.I volunteer Lesley Whistance.
