Nominations are now open for Ceva’s 2016 Animal Welfare Awards, which will once again celebrate the achievements of remarkable people from the farming, veterinary and charity industries.
R.A.B.I is one of two charity sponsors of the Farm Animal Welfare award – which goes to someone from the farming industry who ‘strives to provide or encourage high standards of ethical and compassionate farm animal welfare’. The Farm Animal Welfare Award – now in its second year – is a hotly contested category, attracting many entries from the industry.
Since the first Ceva Awards in 2010 hundreds of people have been nominated, with the winners, whittled down by a panel of esteemed judges including Christopher Laurence MBE BVSc and Anthony Andrews BVetMed PhD. This year’s winners and runners up will be honoured at a ceremony on April 6, 2016.
If there is a farming industry professional that you feel has made a significant contribution to animal welfare, visit www.cevawelfareawards.com to nominate. Entries must be in by January 11, 2016.
More than £2,300 has been raised for R.A.B.I since becoming one of its two chosen charities at the annual Ceva awards in 2015.
Ceva’s Gina Bryant said: “Each year we are amazed by the wonderful work and commitment shown with each nomination. Ceva UK was delighted to hand over a cheque to R.A.B.I following a rather wet sponsored team event. We hope it goes a small way towards helping R.A.B.I to continue the brilliant work that they do supporting farming.”
