R.A.B.I’s North West regional prize was awarded to Norman and Margaret Lawson. This award is given to people who, in the opinion of the awards panel, should receive special recognition.
Norman, chairman, and Margaret, secretary, have been members of the Cheshire committee for over a decade and have helped to organise many events.
“They’ve led a small but very strong committee in Cheshire, organising a wide range of events. They’re very committed and hospitable,” said Malcolm Thomas, R.A.B.I chairman.
Georgina Lamb, regional manager, paid tribute to the couple by saying: “It’s been an absolute pleasure working alongside them. You never really know where the chair ends and the secretary begins because they seem to share everything. You couldn’t find a couple who are more supportive and passionate about R.A.B.I.”
