The first Nottinghamshire Agricultural Charities Luncheon took place at the Newark Showground to raise money for four good causes.
Nottinghamshire Young Farmers, Nottinghamshire Rural Support, Nottinghamshire R.A.B.I and Newark & Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society worked together to raise awareness and funds at a lunchtime event in the Cedric Ford pavilion.
Over 120 guests enjoyed a three-course lamb lunch followed by speaker Mark Spencer MP who addressed the audience with some entertaining words.
Commenting on the success was Adrian Johnston, CEO of the county showground: “Our sincere thanks to all who supported the first Nottinghamshire Agricultural Charities Lunch on Sunday 10 April.
We are delighted to have raised £3,500 for RABI, Notts YFC, Nottinghamshire Rural Support and the Education and development fund of the Nottinghamshire County Show. These are all worthy causes, which do a great deal of good for the rural community of our county.”
