On a hot, sunny afternoon 80 guests attended the farm for a tour of the land, led by farm owners Richard and Mark Chandler. They were treated to a ride in a tractor and trailer as they soaked up the sun.
After the tour, visitors were taken back to Medhone Barn and tucked into dinner. The hog roast was kindly donated by Tom and Peggy Lederer and was cooked by Freddie Goddard. The meal was completed by a homemade salad, freshly picked, local strawberries and chocolate brownies with cream.
Sally Field, R.A.B.I regional manager for the South East, said: “The Chandler family provided everything we needed for the day, from tractor and trailer for the tour to use of their barn. Lisa Tupper also did a sterling job in securing so many excellent raffle prizes.
“R.A.B.I is fortunate to have so many loyal supporters who raise money for us.”
