Shropshire based livestock dealers RD Livestock have chosen to support R.A.B.I as their charity of the year for 2019.
The business is run by Robert Morgan and his partner Danielle Roberts. They specialise in breeding and rearing draft hill ewes, around 12,000 a year, but also raise around 1,500 cattle.
Every month, they will be hosting a fundraising event to raise funds. In January, they held a raffle for 15 pregnant ewes, with the lambs due in March, and raised £750. The lucky winner was Beth Holt from Lancashire.
Kate Jones, regional manager for the West Midlands, said: “I’d like to thank RD Livestock for choosing R.A.B.I as their charity of the year. It’s inspiring to see farmers supporting the wider community.”
