Students started their tractor pull at Cricklade Street, then went around the Market Place and up Castle Street before heading to their final destination of the university.
The pull was part of the university’s Raise and Give (RAG) Week, which took place to raise cash for R.A.B.I, the Chesterton Community Project and The Willow Trust.
Millie Mantle, RAU Student Union Chairman, said: “I have been at the University for five years now and this is by far one of the most successful and well received week’s we’ve ever had.”
R.A.B.I regional manager for South Central said: “We’re incredibly grateful to RAG chairman Matt Davey and the rest of the RAG committee including Sarah, Catherine, Rachel and Millie. Students at RAU have always been supportive of R.A.B.I’s mission and values and they really do know how to put the ‘fun’ into fundraising.”
R.A.B.I is grateful to have received more than £4,600 from the Royal Agricultural University RAG week activities.
