Chris Davies and a team of hard working volunteers have masterminded a new fundraising event for the area. He came up with the idea after attending other beer festivals and wanting to replicate them whilst raising money for R.A.B.I. and Greenfields Africa at the same time.
The ‘Stricken Vessel’ themed beer festival saw 250 people come along to Lower Eyton Farm for an afternoon and evening of food, drink and dancing. The committee worked hard building a galleon bar which was stocked with a selection of the finest local beers and ciders.
Pictured above are Walter Hurdley and Andy Wynne serving up a glass of cider to Christine Downes, Shropshire R.A.B.I. Chairman.
Thanks to the local businesses who sponsored the event including Battlefield Brewery, Alltech E-CO2, Peter Richards & Co and Farm Tours Ireland, and not least the Davies family for hosting the event which raised £1,500 to be shared between the two beneficiary charities.
