R.A.B.I’s Shropshire committee organised another successful carol service at Shrewsbury Livestock Market, Shropshire, at the end of November.
Our hosts for the evening were Halls Auctioneers who cleaned up from their store cattle sale just in time for the R.A.B.I committee to set up for the carol service!
The Archdeacon of Salop, Paul Thomas, opened the service and extended warm welcome to all guests. We joined together and sang a selection of carols and then enjoyed some great musical entertainment, including the Clive Handbell Ringers (pictured above), the Halfway House Male Voice Choir and the wonderfully talented children from Longnor C.E. Primary School.
Following the service we were treated to mulled wine and a selection of homemade goodies provided by the committee. Thanks to everyone who supported the event which raised £1,124 including a grand draw.
