A Shropshire couple have chosen a novel way to celebrate their marriage – holding an evening pf pies, pints and a games, kindly raising funds for R.A.B.I and the local air ambulance service at the same time.
Many thanks to Louise and Foz Haynes, and the Bower family, for holding the fundraising event at Lawns Farm in Calverhall in July.
Apart from the more traditional pub quiz rounds, the teams also had more unusual tasks including identifying weeds, throwing darts and designing paper aeroplanes. One of the competitors, Mark Sayfritz, managed to fly his paper plane from one end of the marquee to the other.
The questions certainly taxed people’s brain cells, especially for those who had been out at the wedding reception the night before! Well done to the winners, “The Nodens plus one”, who came top out of 20 teams.
Sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to raise funds for charity – thank you and congratulations to Louise and Foz.
