Hampshire committee member Jenny Gray received the South East regional volunteer prize at R.A.B.I’s annual awards ceremony in Oxfordshire. She collected her award from Lord Plumb.
Jenny has been an active member of the committee for more than 12 years. She organises the county’s annual cream tea, as well as lending a hand to the quiz night, carol evening, and two main shows.
Joshua Hosier, R.A.B.I deputy chairman, said: “Jenny is wonderfully kind and hardworking, an inspiration to us all. Whatever life throws at her, she tackles head on and her happy and positive, level headed attitude is always appreciated.”
Jenny added: “I feel very privileged to receive this award. At nearly every county show, someone who’s been a recipient of R.A.B.I’s help comes to speak to us and I find that very encouraging.”
