The sixth annual South East clay shoot, held at the West Kent Shooting School, raised £3,220.
Supporters from Kent, Sussex, and Surrey formed 16 teams of four. The North Kent Clay Busters took the winning spot, closely followed by DPG Services. Pete Goldsmith and Christine Atkinson won the high gun men’s and women’s awards respectively. All winners were presented with a trophy, donated by FGSAgri, and a bottle of Biddenden sparkling wine.
A wooden clay trophy was awarded to the lowest scoring team: the Game Birds, which included trustee Sue Lister.
The yearly event was initially organised by Kent committee member Simon Ayshford. £700 of the funds generated will be donated to Hospice in the Weald in his memory.
Sally Field, regional manager for the South East, said: “I’d like to thank Chavereys, Thompson Snell and Passmore, DPG Services, Savills and BASC for contributing towards this event. Gillian and the team from the West Kent Shooting School were fantastic and looked after us all day. It was a great day thoroughly enjoyed by all those who attended.”
