The Southern Rover Owners Club donated £400 at their recent AGM, which was held at the Rose and Crown Hotel in Tonbridge, Kent.
The club invited Charles Tassell, Kent committee chairman, to receive the donation at the meeting. The funds were raised at an open day held at Copford Farm. At the event, guests learned about the club and had the chance to drive their four-by-four around the scenic route or ride along with a member.
Alex Gingell, who recently retired as the club’s president, suggested the charity as a way of giving back to the farmers who often open up their land for the club’s events. Mr Gingell is the owner of Copford Farm and waived land fees to contribute R.A.B.I’s cause.
