A record number of 73 tractors, lorries, bikes, and cars gathered to take part in the seventh annual Thomas Pegg Memorial Tractor Run. The sum of £932 raised at the event was donated to R.A.B.I.
The group set off from Adventure Farm at Tatenhill and had a choice of two routes to follow, which took them through Staffordshire villages. A raffle and an auction were held later in the evening at the Bell Inn pub in Anslow, with funds raised going to two charities: R.A.B.I and Youth Emotional Support Services.
The yearly event was set up by Caroline Pegg in memory of her son Thomas, who was killed in a motorcycle accident at the age of 17. Thomas was passionate about farming and loved tractors.
Elsewhere, the Staffordshire committee organised a bingo night at Hilderstone Village Hall, which raised £868. More than 60 guests joined in the fun, led by bingo caller Phillip Fitzpatrick.
