A great selection of vehicles including classic cars, motorbikes, tractors and push bikes turned out for the sixth annual Thomas Pegg Memorial Tractor Run in Burton Upon Trent, Staffordshire, earlier this month.
The group set off from Adventure Farm at Tatenhill in glorious sunshine and were waved off by a number of spectators who came to look at the lovely selection of vehicles. The drivers enjoyed half-time refreshments at the Golden Cup in Yoxall, and a chance to chat and admire each other’s vehicles.
The event is organised every year by Caroline Pegg, in memory of her son who was a tractor fanatic and would have loved every minute of the event. Caroline is a great supporter of R.A.B.I and has a fabulous team of friends, family and neighbours who help the tractor run to take place every year.
Later on that evening the Bell Inn at Anslow hosted a promise auction and prize draw. Over £2,000 was raised which was split between R.A.B.I and YESS (Youth Emotional Support Services) who support young people in the Staffordshire area. Preparations are already underway for next years event, which will be held on 10 September 2017. Many thanks to everyone involved.
