Despite the threat of rain, tennis players powered through their tournament to raise over £600 for R.A.B.I.
32 ladies joined in to play doubles in R.A.B.I Suffolk’s annual tournament at Kingston Fields in Woodbridge. The players donned gloves and jumpers and kept themselves warm by playing three matches before lunch.
Their large buffet lunch was provided by the Pavillion Cafe next to the tennis court and players had the chance to catch their breath and fuel up before continuing. Fortunately, the sun came out for the finals and semi-finals after lunch.
Lilian Austin (centre right) and Frances Paul (far right) came in second place, beaten by Sarah Beamish (centre left) and Ann Hutchinson (far left).
