This morning 32 people from farming and the wider rural business sector attended a fundraising breakfast in aid of R.A.B.I at Spring Barn Farm, near Lewes in East Sussex.
A massive thank you to Louise and Mike Possinger for allowing us to use their farm shop facilities and laying on a delicious breakfast.
Also to all those business that help and supported the event. Firstly, the new R.A.B.I East Sussex committee Chairman, Andrew Samuel from Samuel & Son. Also, Kevin Powell and Suzanne Craig from Knill James Accountants based in Lewes and from Steve Turner and Alan Chilvers from the Lloyds Agricultural team.
Diners enjoyed Springs’ smoked salmon, butchers’ sausages, bacon and free-range scrambled eggs from Uckfield, followed by a selection of freshly baked breads and pastries, all washed down with pressed apple juice from Ringden Farm.
The morning raised £541, there was a great sociable atmosphere and discussions regarding the current state of British agriculture and its future.
