On Sunday, over 120 guests enjoyed a Midsummer Lunch at Butcherland Farm at Ebernoe, West Sussex, by very kind invitation of Ivon and Margaret Wadey and family.
The event, jointly organised by R.A.B.I West Sussex Committee and Petworth & District Agricultural Association, began with a relaxing glass of Pimms, and was followed by spit roast lamb and a dessert of freshly picked strawberries.
Sixteen members of a local ukulele band entertained everyone during lunch with song sheets on the tables so everyone could join in. After lunch, there was a raffle and auction and the children played party games including musical chairs and skittles. Raffle prizes on offer included a tour of Langham Brewery, tickets for family entrance to Petworth House, sparkling wine and a large cake from Farmhouse Cookery.
A big thank you to everyone who donated auction lots and raffle prizes, or helped and supported the event. It was a great summer family afternoon event which has raised in excess of £3,000.
