A Christmas concert is being held at Talgarth Town Hall to raise money for struggling farmers.
R.A.B.I’s Brecon & Radnor county committee will be holding its Christmas concert on Friday November 25. Performing on the night will be the Aberhonddu Male Voice Choir, Jane Owen-Lowe, Wyn Rees (both pictured above) and David Price. Malcolm Thomas MBE, R.A.B.I’s national chairman and Welsh trustee, will act as compere.
Linda Jones, R.A.B.I’s regional manager for Wales, said: “We have seen a rise in our help to working farmers this year in Brecon & Radnor who are struggling to make ends meet. However, we have also helped several families in cases of illness and accidents. We will continue to help those in need in genuine cases.”
Tickets for the Christmas concert cost just £5 and are available from Elaine Stephens on 01874 711356, Kath Shaw on 07887 553956, or Paul Greenow on 07807 819706.
Elaine Stephens said: “We had an excellent concert last year at Talgarth Town Hall and I hope that the kind and generous people of Brecon & Radnor will support us again this year. We are extremely proud of the support that the R.A.B.I has offered to the farming community in both counties over the years.”
Linda added: “It can be hard for someone to admit they are in difficulty and seek help, but we work in confidence and I’d urge anyone who is in financial need and has minimal savings to call our helpline 0808 2819490.”
