R.A.B.I Gloucestershire committee took part in the Cream Tea Campaign fundraiser at Tibberton near Newent on Monday August 10.
All summer, R.A.B.I has been encouraging people to host their own tea parties to raise funds and support those in the farming industry who need financial help.
Nearly 70 guests turned out to support the cream tea and more than £550 was raised from donations. The event, which took place in a marquee overlooking stunning views of May Hill and the surrounding countryside, featured a bouncy castle for the children, cake stall and Jess’ Ladies Organic Farm milk and cream – donated by Jess herself. The venue was kindly supplied by the Ratcliffe family.
R.A.B.I regional manager Jenni Thompson said: “In 2014 over £39,000 was given in grants to support Gloucestershire farmers, supporting some 28 cases, the funds raised from Monday’s event will therefore be a great help in our work to support our beneficiaries in the county during 2015.”
