Around 115 hunters took part in the search for treasure in the picturesque forest of Bowland, around Chipping and Longridge.
The ‘Brindle Bad Boys’ sadly won the booby prize, a box of carrots, to help them see better in the dark. The winning team was ‘No Turning Back’.
The search was rounded off with supper at Ferrari’s. Jim and Sarah Holding and Richard and Liz Seed organised the hunt to raise money for R.A.B.I – which gave out grants of more than £147k in North Yorkshire alone last year and over £38k in Lancashire.
Georgina Lamb, R.A.B.I Regional Manager for the North West, said: “It can be hard for people to admit they are in difficulty and seek help but we work in confidence and I’d urge anyone in the farming community who is in financial need and has minimal savings to call our helpline 0808 2819490.”
