We have 52 county committees which work at local level to raise awareness of R.A.B.I as well as help raise funds. Committees are the lifeblood of R.A.B.I and we very much value the time and effort that people put in to support us.
You don’t have to have a background in farming to get involved, but most committee members tend to have a connection with farming through their family, college or workplace, or because of where they live.
Committees meet several times a year to plan fundraising and awareness-raising events which range from garden parties, dinners and pub quizzes, to having a stand at an agricultural show, taking part in national campaigns such as Great British Beef Week, and selling R.A.B.I’s Christmas cards and calendars. The aim is to help R.A.B.I, but also to enjoy the social side of working with like-minded people for a common cause.
