A night of Winter warming food and music will kick-start R.A.B.I Montgomeryshire committee’s fundraising activities in 2017.
The Winter Warmer event at Mochdre Old School on Saturday 4 February from 19:00 will consist of a lovely meal of sausages and mash followed by homemade puddings. Entertainment will be provided by the talented Powys saxophonist Phil Brown.
R.A.B.I. regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones, said: “We are looking forward to the Winter Warmer event. At this time of year, it will be good for rural people to have an excuse to gather together and socialise. Farming people can feel lonely and isolated at this time of year and it’s important that families get the opportunity to go out and chat with like-minded people.”
Ann Davies, Montgomeryshire event secretary, added: “Our two Christmas events were highly successful and we would like to thank everyone for their support. This Winter Warmer event will be a fun evening, with some splendid sausages provided by Neuadd Fach Baconry and a lot of spuds peeled by committee members. Bar facilities will be available and of course, to cap it all, the wonderful Phil Brown and his saxophone.”
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for primary school children and are available from Ann Davies on 01686 688347, Patricia Jones on 01696 688619, or Sue Turley on 07891 960587.
