A total of 176 guests enjoyed a three-course meal with entertainment provided by Clive Davies. Guest speaker Stephen James, NFU Cymru president, talked about his role with the NFU and praised R.A.B.I’s work.
Clive Roads of McCartneys compered the auction of promises, which raised £1,390. Included in the many exciting lots were a two night stay in a cottage, a meal for four, and a Christmas tree!
Amongst those attending the dinner were many who hosted their own fundraising events this year. Pershore NFU held a clay shoot and the David Goodwin memorial ploughing event was also arranged in memory of a long-time supporter. Tom Goodwin, David’s son, presented funds raised to regional manager Kate Jones.
Roland Strawn of the Halesowen & Hagley Farmers Club also made a donation of £200, which was generated at a recent harvest supper event. Pictured above are Roland and Kate Jones.
