Dee Cutler and her husband Neil have a smallholding near Droitwich in Worcestershire where they keep sheep, pigs, bees, geese, ducks and chickens and tend a productive vegetable garden. They also have a small plantation of willow which they coppice for fuel.
On a sunny day in July they kindly hosted an Open Day at their home, ‘The Old Post Office’, to raise funds for R.A.B.I. There were many attractions for all of the family including demonstrations, talks about all of their animals, a raffle and vintage tractors.
Deirdre reports, “We were blessed with a beautiful English summer afternoon and so had many visitors. It was a really lovely community event with many people expressing interest in the work of R.A.B.I as well as the activities of their slightly loony friends and neighbours, now affectionately renamed Tom and Barbara!”
Many thanks to the Cutlers for opening up their home, organising the event and raising £500 for farmers in need.
