R.A.B.I is most grateful for the continued support of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, which has generously donated £10,000 towards our work.
The Yorkshire Agricultural Society was formed in 1837 and is a charity dedicated to supporting the farming industry and rural way of life. The value of the support it provides to regional farming and countryside initiatives has risen year on year to nearly £1m.
Based at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, the society is the organiser of the annual farming and country showcase, the Great Yorkshire Show and its sister event, Countryside Live.
The society offers grants, sponsorship and has a very active educational department which runs a wide range of activities aimed at increasing the knowledge of young people and their teachers about the important role farmers play in producing our food and caring for the landscape.
The Yorkshire Agricultural Society has been very supportive over the years, sponsoring local events and allowing us to use their facilities for meetings. We look forward to continuing this great relationship and attending the Great Yorkshire Show in July where we hope to have the oldest lorry in the world at our stand!
