On Friday 28 June, RABI’s Welsh Committees and Shropshire Committee came together for their Annual Wales and Borders Golf Day, and lots of fun was had. 12 enthusiastic teams gathered at the Mile End Golf Club in Shropshire, where they enjoyed excellent hospitality, delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere.
We would like to congratulate our winners, the Rees Astley Team – comprised of Steve Owen, Gerald Morgan, Glen Owen and Nigel Price – for their first-place finish.
A big well done also to Chris Brettell, who won the prize for the Longest Drive, and to Will Phillips, who took home the prize for Nearest the Pin.
Our special thanks go to Mile End Golf Club and its staff for having us and to our amazing volunteers, who helped with the raffle and refreshments.
We would also like to express our gratitude to Wenlock Edge for providing us with sausages, Warburtons for supplying us with rolls and Morrisons for donating raffle prizes.
In total, the event raised over £1,150! Well done to all who participated.
