In October, Penrith Young Farmers’ Club marked its 90th anniversary with a Black Tie Ball, bringing together 250 past and present members, along with their families and friends, to celebrate the club’s long history.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, a raffle was held, with tickets sold in the lead-up to the event, raising £4,500 for RABI. Alison Wilson, Chair of RABI’s Cumbria Committee, attended the ball and had the honour of drawing the raffle.
The fundraising total was formally presented to RABI on Tuesday 25 November, with Trustee Simon Thorpe attending the cheque handover alongside members of the Cumbria Committee, including Alison Wilson (Chair), Gillian (Treasurer) and Louisa (Volunteer).
RABI would like to thank everyone at Penrith Young Farmers’ Club for their generosity and commitment. The funds raised will allow the charity to continue providing one-to-one support, advice and guidance to the farming community across England and Wales.
