Farm24 provides an opportunity for farming people and the wider public to share the realities of farming over a 24-hour period. Through this year's partnership, FarmersAid will encourage more people across the farming community to consider what they would do in the first minutes after a serious on-farm accident.
Serious incidents can happen suddenly and often in complex or isolated environments. Distance, terrain and limited connectivity can also affect how quickly professional help reaches the scene.
Practical guidance in the first critical minutes
FarmersAid is a free critical care support app designed specifically for serious on-farm accidents. It provides clear, step-by-step guidance to help people take practical action while emergency services are on their way.
The app includes guidance for 10 serious accident scenarios, including crushing, falls from height, burns, electric shocks and incidents involving animals, vehicles or machinery. It works offline, so its core guidance remains available in areas with limited or no mobile signal.
FarmersAid does not replace calling 999 or professional emergency care. Its purpose is to reduce hesitation and provide structure during the critical first minutes before help arrives.
The app can be explored before an emergency. Becoming familiar with its guidance can help farming people, family members and farm workers think about access points, location information, signal blackspots and the equipment they may need in a serious incident.
