On April 28, Abigail Baker takes on her biggest challenge yet: the London Marathon.
Over the past few years, Abigail has completed the Bournemouth half marathon and the Purbeck 16 to raise funds for R.A.B.I. Not done with fundraising, she decided to up the game and secured a place in the London marathon.
She recently completed the Weymouth half marathon as part of her training. She said: “After a difficult week, I was really pleased to have achieved a personal best in the half marathon. It’s a good sign for my training! There are only three long runs left now before I taper off.”
Farming is a large part of Abigail’s life. She said: “I live in a farming community. My husband is a farmworker and one of my best friends has her own dairy. Thankfully, they are both well but I think R.A.B.I does an amazing job at helping those in need. We never know what’s around the corner but it’s great to know there is support if you need it.”
