We understand that it is a particularly anxious time for many farmers at the moment. RABI will continue to provide support to people in farming whatever combination of challenges they face.

RABI’s primary role is not to shape farming but to support those within it. Educating, informing and working with Government on the impact of these challenges plays a vital part in achieving that.

We are aware of the NFU’s mass lobbying event and the separate independent rally set to take place in London on Tuesday 19 November.

Having liaised with the NFU regarding their mass lobbying event, our rural MP event at Westminster will continue to go ahead on 19 November, as a supporting element of RABI’s long-term aim to further enhance resilience in the farming community.

Engagement with rural MPs, many of whom are representing rural constituencies for the first time, ensures they are aware of how RABI can support the farming communities they represent. It also allows RABI to share its specific expertise and insights on farming people with policymakers so they can make informed decisions.

In 2025 RABI will be hosting a round table and other engagement events, working collaboratively with Government and key bodies towards improvements to the support and services that farming people need. The focus remains on furthering resilience in the farming community to help farmers weather the challenges they may face.
