Did you know that R.A.B.I run two residential care homes – one in Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset and one in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk? Most residents come from a farming background, but other members of the local community and people wanting respite care can be cared for if spaces permit.
Residents at our Beaufort House care home in Somerset have been getting crafty recently – enjoying an afternoon of plate painting with Purr-fect Pottery and creating gifts to sell at the Easter Coffee Morning.
Resident Graham Mills is pictured above with his very creative farming-themed plate.
Below are some of the gifts, hand made by both staff and residents, which helped to raise £1,100 for the residents’ amenity fund at the Coffee Morning. Residents can choose to spend the amenity fund on any activities they would enjoy, such as the pottery painting afternoon. Other activities have including musical entertainment, art and craft classes and day trips out in the mini bus.
