Head of Fundraising and Development, Stephen Noble, attended the annual general meeting of the Royal East Berkshire Agricultural Association (REBAA) this week, where he was pleased to accept a generous donation of £1,000.
R.A.B.I was one of three charities nominated for support by REBAA this year. After hearing of R.A.B.I’s work from Stephen, Russell Watts, outgoing Chair of REBAA, commented that, “all members present felt the connection to the farming communities in Northern England and knew we had made a sound decision in supporting the charity and work you all do.”
REBAA was founded over 160 years ago and, like R.A.B.I, is proud to have HM The Queen as their patron. Run on behalf of its members by a general committee, it organises a calendar of events including an annual ploughing match, charity Spring ball and harvest lunch. One of their committee members, Rowena Westacott, also serves on the Berkshire R.A.B.I committee.
