Richard Gore, from Berkshire, received the South Central regional prize at R.A.B.I’s awards ceremony, held in Oxfordshire. He collected the award from Stuart Roberts, NFU vice president.
Joshua Hosier, R.A.B.I deputy chairman, said: “Richard is the long-standing Chairman of the Berkshire committee, for over fifteen years. He is extremely self-motivated and enthusiastic about both organising fundraising events and recruiting new supporters, with 12 current and very active committee members.
“Richard is a great asset to R.A.B.I with his ‘can do’ attitude. He’s well connected and respected and is an enormous support to us when it comes to raising awareness. Every year he puts on an event with help from the committee and he’s had some great successes, from clay shoots to Wurzels concerts!”
