Fifteen teams took part in a quiz night at the Black Mountain Lodge in Glasbury-on-Wye to help raise £807 for struggling farmers.
David Morris stepped in at short notice to be quizmaster at the Black Mountain Lodge. Elaine Stephens, chair of R.A.B.I’s Brecon & Radnor committee, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who supported us, especially David, who certainly made the evening a lot of fun.”
Linda Jones, regional manager for Wales, added: “It’s been a difficult year for many farming families. R.A.B.I has already given out almost £20k in Brecon & Radnor this year to assist working people who are struggling to make ends meet.”
The winning quiz team comprised Peter and Ann Rowson, Jeanette Burson and Helen Roome, who each took home a bottle of wine. Welsh beef rolls were supplied during the interval thanks to support from the Hay Veterinary Group.
