Congratulations to Bryn Thompson and Robert Wassell on arriving at Pooley Bridge on Sunday 8 May, at the end of their four and a half day charity bike ride from London to Cumbria.
The pair were raising funds with their bike ride to cover the printing costs for charity cookbook, Up To Our Necks. 100% of donations from sales will to go directly to Eden Flood Volunteers and R.A.B.I, in support of work helping flooded Cumbrians after the area was struck by Storm Desmond.
They arrived tired and hot but were grateful to be met by lots of supporters and a waiting pint at their welcome party and joint cookbook launch at The Sun Inn, next to the bridge. They even had a dip in the river to cool off with a friend from Farmland Press who are kindly publishing the book.
Huge thanks to Bryn and Robert and to everyone who has been involved in the project so far.
