Kirsty Johnson, Vice Chair of the Bucks committee, took the festive spirit online and led a virtual wreath making class.
Twenty supporters joined the class from the comfort of their own homes as Kirsty led them through a step-by-step guide. Having previously worked as a florist, Kirsty offered some interesting insights into the profession. The wreaths were judged by a local florist and Zoe Lear won the competition, with a bottle of bubbly going her way.
At the end of the evening, Kirsty drew the Bucks RABI Christmas Draw with the help of her son Jack. There were 17 prizes up for grabs, including a £100 meal voucher for The Old Thatched Inn, Adstock, a £100 clothing voucher for Farm Life Buckinghamshire, and a Christmas Cake made by Alan Read, winner of the Men’s Bake Off at the Bucks Cream Tea last year.
Laura Ractliffe, South Central Regional Manager, said: “Overall, the Christmas Draw and the wreath making class raised over £3,500! A fantastic effort from all the committee and a great way to end what has been a strange year for fundraising.”
