Over 100 people attended the 30th anniversary event of the Carmarthenshire committee at the Carmarthen Livestock Centre.
A Cymanfa was held in the auction ring, followed by a Welsh Beef dinner in the mart café. The Cymanfa was conducted by Reverend Wyn Maskell, with community singing aided by Côr Meibion Caerfyrddin. Among the favourite songs on the night were popular Welsh hymn Côr Caersalem and an Elvis Presley classic, Love me Tender, with Welsh lyrics. A raffle and auction helped to bring in additional funds of £1,617.26.
Noel Morgan, joint chair of the Carmarthenshire committee, said: “We had a wonderful evening and it was great to see so many people who have supported out work over the years. We value every contribution to our cause.”
The anniversary event was supported by local businesses Agri-Lloyd and Wynnstay.
