Farmer’s daughter Catherine Robinson set herself the challenge of running 30km to support British farmers from her home in New Zealand. So far, she’s raised £2,385.
Catherine’s parents farm in England and, like many farmers in the UK, are struggling due to the impact of the current pandemic. Catherine said: “I have had to sit at home whilst my parents throw their livelihood down the drain as the milk price crashed in the UK.”
Along with Ben Galloway, Andrew Galloway, Dominic Stolten and Nellie the dog, Catherine decided to run from Dannevirke to Woodville on New Zealand’s north island.
Catherine added: “Farmers need our support now more than ever. Every donation goes towards helping people in the farming community when they need it most.”
