The Chepstow Agricultural Society presented the Monmouthshire committee with a donation of £1,000 at their annual dinner dance.

The society raised funds at their companion dog show and other fundraising events. Monmouthshire committee chairman Gwilym Richards (pictured above right) received the donation from Alun Morgan, chair of the Chepstow agricultural society.

Volunteers had a successful day at the last Chepstow Show thanks to the generosity of the society. Auctioneers Gwilym Richards & Co also gave a talk about the work the charity does.

Gwilym Richards said: “We are very grateful to Chepstow Show for their support.  This donation makes a significant addition to our fundraising in Monmouthshire.”

Linda Jones, R.A.B.I regional manager for Wales, added: “Our fundraising events in Monmouthshire are always well supported and this committee works extremely hard to raise both funds and awareness of what we do.  Many farming families are finding life difficult at the moment as it’s been a long and hard winter, but we are here to help.”
